Indore is one of the fastest growing megapolises of the country and it is also famous now or management education. The Prestige Institute is one of the pioneers in putting Indore on the Management Education map.
Prestige Institute of Management and Research was established in 1994 with the solemn objective of catering to the educational and training needs of the students, non-resident Indians, foreigners residing in India, defence personnel and executives from industry and government. The Institute is working on the principle of self-financing, while philanthropic industrialist and chairman of the Prestige Group of Industries, Indore Shri N. N. Jain had provided the necessary initial financial support.
PIMR campus with contemporary interiors is designed to build an inimitable environment. It is located in a prominent area of Indore. The Institute had made a beginning by introducing MBA (full time) and MBA (part, time) programs, and an undergraduate program in management discipline in 1994. Under the ambitious plan to increase the number of programs to cover the diverse areas of professional education, the Institute has also started programs like Master of International Business, Master of Advertising and Public Relations Management, Master of Marketing Management, Master of Personnel Administration, Master of Foreign Trade (Integrated), and Bachelor of Computer Applications. Besides this, the Institute is a recognized research centre for PhD program.
Student Profile: The Institute has 90 students in its MBA(FT) program. The students come from diverse backgrounds with 16 students from engineering background, 42 from commerce background, 2 from Arts stream, 16 from science, and 16 from others like computers, business administration etc. There are 54 students who are boys and 38 girls respectively. 22 students have industry background and the average age of students is 23 years.
Placement Record: The Institute has 100 percent placement with 94 % students placed m corporates and 6% opting for starting their own ventures/joining family business. Students of the Institute have been offered a maximum salary of 4 lakhs.
