The Velammal Educational Trust which runs the college was established in 1986 and in a short less than two decades of existence the Trust has now over 22,500 students spread in a number of technical campuses and its management school.
The vision of the school is to educate the student community both by theory and practice to fit in with the society and to conquer the tomorrow’s technology at global level with human values through our dedicated team. Towards this the college has established a spacious campus with well-designed class rooms with the essential teaching aids like audiovisual equipment overhead projectors, slide projectors, TV and VCR for the use of faculty members. With a sanctioned strength of 60 students the college has been growing in visibility and diversity. The institution is also looking to elevant itself as a centre of higher learning offering MPM and PhD programmes
The school has established a good computer centre with state-of-the-art equipment and software along with a well stocked library. The students are encouraged to learn the latest trends in management education through selective pedagogic process. The institute has also networked strongly with the local industry and invites the industry leadership to teach in the campus as well as offer consultancy for its faculty. Such close association has also worked well with the placement process of the institute which has been good and consistent.
As it looks into the future, Velammal is confident of emerging one of the top notch management schools of the country by expanding its seat strength and also the faculty numbers
