The SCMS group is one of the fastest growing educational enterprises in Kerala with its visionary founders having set a clear direction for its growth since 1976. SCMS group is into management education, IT training and engineering education all of which are growing at a fast pace. The ethos of the group is to nurture talent by support with the best of inputs always based on the heritage and ethos which is part of the Gods Own Country, Kerala.

The school is aesthetically well designed with ample space in between for class rooms, conference halls, libraries and computer centres. The ambience is one that of classical learning coupled with time tested experimentation. Faculty are encouraged to mentor the students and bring out the best in them like that of yore. The college also exposes them to industry projects in and around Cochin, the port city of Kerala which helps them to gain contemporary knowledge at their doorstep. The school also sends its students far to participate in other campus programmes in India and abroad mainly in the gulf region.

The school library possesses nearly 17,000 latest volumes in management and mass communication and is considered a basic source of information even by practicing managers as well as academicians of the neighbouring institutions. The School subscribes to about 120 leading national and international business and management journals including Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Business Week, U. S. Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, World-Executive Digest, Forbes, Economist, Far Eastern Economic Review, Time, News Week, Asia Week, Media Asia, World Economic Digest, Business India, Business Today, Capital Market, Business World, and several other periodicals and dailies for the benefit of the students

SCMS has three computer centres at the school apart from the labs provided at the hostels. The computer network has 400 nodes loaded with the latest software.

The server and Internet can be accessed from anywhere at any time in the campus through wi-fi. The institute is well networked with the industry and has had a strong placement programme in place for years whose value and worth is growing over the years by way of the profile of companies visiting and the nature of the jobs they are offering to the school students. SCMS looks to future with renewed hope owing to its proven leadership role in the region in management education and the runaway; growth in industry requiring large number of well trained managers which is the forte of the school.
