Aurora group of educational institutions could be counted among one of the fastest growing educational conglomerates spanning all aspects of education from primary school to technical colleges and of course management. Rainesh Nimmatoori started Aurora in 1989 and since then it has grown to be a large educational enterprise with 400 faculty members and 300 administrative staff and a growing range of institutions in which 7500 students are enrolled. Aurora Department of Management with 120 students and 14 faculty members is making strides in the management education in country. The department is affiliated to Osmania University. Apart from them, Aurora is evolving into an autonomous Business School now offering Postgraduate programme in Business Management (PGDBM) and Executive Postgraduate programme in Business Management (PGPM) recognized by A1CTE and Ministry of HRD Govt. of India. New Delhi.
The vision is “to make itself synonymous with learning". The mission is to serve the nation, as a center for advancement, preservation and dissemination of knowledge. Based on the concept of “man-making education” , the institute aims to develop students with human values. Institute claims the benefit of it’s location which is in the heart of the city with a large campus. This will enable to potentially use the time of students and academicians. Aurora has a balanced mix of academicians, researchers and professionals who are experienced permanent faculty drawn from various streams of disciplines. Part-tune and visiting faculty too contributes to enrich the quality of the courses offered.
In case of courses affiliated to Osmania University, the University will conduct counseling for the admission test qualified student and will decide on the student intake. For the autonomous courses of Aurora Business Institute, the selection is through G.D. and personal interview.
The department has a strong alumni network and it also well networked with the corporate sector which gives it an edge during placements.
